Intizar Hussain is a renowned short story writer and novelist of our age. He also earned name in the field of Drama, Travelogue, Criticism, Journalism, Column writing, Sketch writing and Translation. Intizar Hussain wrote four novels and nine story books, while "Shehr e Afsoos" is Intizar Hussain's 4th legendary collection. It contains seventeen stories in which the colour of symbol, myth and ancient stories is prominent. This article is a critical study of the stories of such legendary collection.
