Abstract

Critics of Urdu Fiction produced several books on criticism of fiction in general and criticism of short stories in particular in the ninth decade of twentieth century. These works opened a new chapter of criticism of fiction.Shhzad manzar emphasized the artistic subtleties and aspects of identity in fiction. He focused on the intellectual and structural analysis of the short story. Shehzad Manzar is one of those critics who wrote consistently on topics like element of story in modern short stories, use of symbols, abstraction, modernism, contemporary awareness, the decline and future of short story, etc. the article discuss and evaluates Shehzad Manzar's works.
