In the contemporary era, the Urdu novel has not only flourished in Pakistan but has also encompassed diverse themes across the border. Along with thematic richness, successful experiments have been carried out in language, expression, and narrative techniques. Undoubtedly, writers from across the border have played a significant role in enriching the Urdu novel in this period. In this paper, selected novels are analyzed in the context of cross-border Urdu fiction to examine in which ways these works have contributed to the development and expansion of Urdu literature.
