Abstract

Abstract: Translation is the process of converting text from one language into another. The art of translation is as ancient as human social life itself. A translator must be familiar with both languages and possess proficiency in them. In the tradition of Urdu translations, Humra Khaliq's name needs no introduction. Through her translation work, she has introduced new ideas into the language, fostering a continuous process of intellectual assimilation and acceptance. She has enriched literature with modern ideas, along with new similes and fresh metaphors, giving the language new dimensions and broader horizons.
