Abstract

Over the past few decades, the destruction of natural beauty due to mechanical and industrial development and the use of technology, the resistance attitude of the poet to the problems of the third World and imperialist powers has affected other genres and has also led to various changes in the landscape of poetry. Rafiq Sandelvi has a distinguished position in the contemporary landscape of Urdu poetry due to his unique style. He does not directly write about politics and society, but rather conveys themes through metaphor and symbolism. Rafiq Sandelvi, s specialty is to present the real thing as a mysterious reality. The lyricism, imagery, style and diversity in the meanings of his poems show that he is aware of the present era but at the same time is also connected to his civilization. In this context his poems can be called a combination of ancient and modern civilization.
