Poetry, being the highest form of human speech, is considered to be the melody of life. In the art of poetry, in terms of subject and form, Rubai in general and Naatia Rubai in particular have been waiting for communication in every era. From Quli Qutb Shah to Wali Deccini, from Mir Taqi Mir to Ghalib and Momin, and from Anees and Dabir to Iqbal and Hali, the classical era has versified in the form of Naatia Rubai. But the standards of thought and art and the love and affection of the Prophet that the poets of the modern era have set, invite the reader to study. The Rubai, having a close link with 'tarana', 'do baiti' and 'chau misri' but different and unique in its style and metre, when adapted into the form of naat, is full of devotion and invites for research and criticism. This work is an effort to capture the extensive art of rubai, focusing on its origin, uniqueness, thought and art, especially the tradition, themes, and grandeur and beauty of Naatia Rubai.
