The prose poem represents a contemporary form of poetry, and I have chosen this topic due to my strong interest in poetry. Prose poem is a modern and innovative form of poetry which originated in Urdu literature, influenced by France. Presently, the prose poem is also gaining traction in Pakistan. In this research paper we will critically evaluate the occurrence and dominance of this form of poetry with respect to the famous Pakistani Prose Poets mainly, Tabassum Kashmiri, Saadat Saed and Zia-ul-Hassan.
