Abstract

The renowned Urdu poet Akhtar Shirani, had a rare way of seeing beauty in everything around him. This sense of uniqueness was reflected in both his life and poetry. His poetry was packed with love for Salma, Rehana, and later for anyone who touched his heart. He found poetry in everything, from a woman’s grace to the landscape of a homeland. His words addressed the rivers like Nile, expressed love for cities, and even mourned the loneliness of a grave where a beloved poet was resting. In his poetry, nature was not just a scenery; it was alive and full of his own emotions. Shirani was a dreamer, a lover, and a poet who lived through his words, always weaving love, desire, and beauty together. This article is an effort to cover all these aesthetic aspects.
