Abstract

The Muslim Rule expanded to the outskirts of Lahore in the Ghaznavid Period. It was Qutbuddin Aibak, a slave of Moizzuddin Ghouri who was also chief of his army and heir to his kingdom, who established Mamluk's dynasty in Delhi and took it to the northern parts of India. Kings belonging to Mamluk dynasty learnt patronising literary activities from Ghoury royalty. Persian language and literature tremendously flourished in the Indo-Pak subcontinent in the reign of Mamluk. The article sheds light on the literary scene of that period especially in light of Persian prose written by the authors of the subcontinent in Mamluk's period
