Abstract

Khizar Noshahi is among the renowned scholars of Persian studies in Pakistan. A major milestone in his long research career is the editing of the three “Diwans” of Faqir Qadir Bakhsh Bedil. Study of those Diwans offers us a rich encounter with the poet while also demonstrating Noshahi’s painstaking effort and mastery of textual editing and research. The valuable services, he rendered in establishing the text, arranging punctuation, and recovering the oldest available manuscripts, are acknowledged in this article.
