According to historical evidence, the Persian language and culture spread to the Indian subcontinent with the invasion of Muhammad Ibn-e Qasim and later through the Ghaznavid conquests. Many Iranians, including members of the Iranian ruling and military classes, settled in these regions. Through their presence, not only the language but also the culture and civilization of Iran took root and flourished in this land. The celebration of Nowruz in various parts of Pakistan stands as strong evidence of this cultural influence. People not only recognize Nowruz but also celebrate it with great enthusiasm and grandeur, though with some regional variations.
